Exhibition and Market

With progressive European integration, Belarus is now an immediate neighbour of the European Union on one side and the high growth CIS markets of Russia and Ukraine on the other.

Given this and the still relatively low labour costs there, Belarus is a very interesting prospect for the food processing industry. With a population of approx. 10 million, Belarus is a future market for machinery from the food and packaging industry.

The modernisation of this sector is just at an initial stage and state-owned enterprises have predominated to date. As these are often vertically integrated, there are excellent opportunities for supplying them with complete solutions from manufacturing to packaging.  

In 2010, the trade fair Food Industry in June will again offer the only international exhibition forum for food processing industries in Belarus. Food Industry includes all sectors of the food processing industry. In 2009 over 200 companies from 11 countries participated at the exhibition and14.000 specialised visitors came.
